Robert David Clark was born and raised in a small town in central Iowa. In 1968 he was drafted into the Army and served a tour in Vietnam as an infantryman. In 1971 he enrolled at Minnesota State University, Mankato. While attending MSU he won the school’s Robert C. Wright writing scholarship, and an Associated Writing Programs Intro award for fiction. He has been published in Indiana Review, Highground Magazine, and Minnesota River Review. Flowers Of The Dinh Ba Forest is his first published novel. He lives in Mankato, Minnesota.

Gwen Hart holds degrees from Wellesley College, Hollins University, and Minnesota State University. Her chapbook Losing Ohio was a part of Finishing Line Press’s New Women’s Voices Series in 2002. Her second chapbook, Dating the Invisible Man, won The Ledge Press contest in 2004, and her book Lost and Found was published by David Robert Books in 2006.

Tom Maltman’s essays, poetry, and fiction have been published in Briar Cliff Review, Georgetown Review, Great River Review, and Under the Sun. He currently teaches creative writing and literature at Silver Lake College in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. The Night Birds is his first novel.
