Guidelines for Reviews
The Corresponder: A Fan Letter on Minnesota Writers reviews
work only by Minnesota authors. We have a preference for reviews of literary
works in the genres of fiction, poetry, creative nonfiction and memoir.
Please take the time to sample reviews from previous issues.
The Corresponder office generally has a number of titles ready
for review at any time. Please contact the Editor for a list of books
available. We regret that our only form of payment for your review is
the title you selected.
Review format/submission process: Include as a heading for all reviews: book title, author’s name, publisher
and year of copyright, and indicate hardcover/softcover format and the price
of the book. Please limit your review to 450 words. Submit
an electronic copy of the review in Word format via e-mail. Also submit a hardcopy of your review as well as the book itself—we need to scan its cover for
publication and will return the copy afterwards.
You may drop your review off in The Corresponder’s box
at the English Department Office at Armstrong Hall 230, Minnesota State
University, Mankato or mail to:
